My easy everyday makeup routine is rather quite simple! I don’t like to wear too much makeup, but just enough for some coverage. I also have super dry skin and it’s taken me a long time to figure out what’s best for that, and I think I have finally found some fabulous products that complete my easy everyday makeup routine, so I wanted to share!
Toner and Moisturizer
These two items go on first and have ultimately been a game changer with my skin and my everyday makeup look. The Bobbi Brown Hydrating Tonic Face Toner is amazing! It’s a little pricey but it lasts a long time. I put a little bit on the blender and then rub all around my face. That’s the first thing I do.
Then I apply the Bobbi Brown Hydrating Face Moisturizer immediately. Like I said, both items have helped my face so much to not be as dry and patchy, which has always been a problem of mine. They also make the same products not for hydrating if you don’t need the extra boost.
I then wait for about five to 10 minutes for the toner and moisturizer to dry.
Foundation
Next up, is my foundation. I finally discovered a liquid foundation that works great for my skin and it’s a well known one – the Laura Mercier Flawless Radiance Foundation. It comes in so many colors and it goes on so smooth. Highly recommend! I do get the blender wet first, and then ring it out and put some foundation on the back of my hand, and then I start applying all over my face. The blender helps apply the makeup and by making it wet it helps to smooth it out and so I don't need as much foundation to cover my face.
Concealer
Some days I need a lot and some days I need a little…ha! But concealer is a must for me in my everyday makeup look. I started using N.A.R.S and I really like it! So many great colors and it helps brighten up the face and provide coverage at the same time. I usually blend it with the beaker under my eyes and on any problem spots on my face.
Creamy Blush
I think this has made the ultimate difference on my face. Most people, I think, use power blushes but a very smart lady told me that if I have dry skin, the powder blush will make it worse. I then switched to a creamy blush and the rest was history! I have been using the one from Laura Mercier and I really like it! It’s a great everyday color without being too much. I apply it the same way with a large brush on the apples of my cheeks.
Mascara
Almost done – just need to finish up the eyes. I’ve been using an $11 eyelash curler from Amazon that is amazing! I’ve never been able to curl my lashes with the traditional curler so this one is so great! I use it on my lashes for about 8 seconds on each eye, sometimes twice and then I apply the mascara. I switch up my mascara every now and then but lately I have been liking the Maybelline Volume Express Big Lashes mascara.
