I LOVE setting goals whether for my business, my mental health or for my body. The reason I love to set goals is it gives me something to focus on, something to work toward and helps me stay positive. Checking a goal off my list big or small gives me that great feeling of accomplishment! Who doesn't need that right now?

If you are anything like me you are looking at April and trying to set some goals for yourself. How do you set goals while stuck at home and not knowing when we will actually be able to break out?

Here are some tips.

1. Be realistic

As always when setting goals set goals that are attainable especially in a quarantine. Maybe skip the run a marathon this month instead set a goal to get out and walk or run a few miles a day (while keeping a safe distance from others) Make small goals then once you hit those you can always add on to them. A couple good ones during this time might be. Slow down on the comfort foods and focus on healthy foods that make you feel better or find some way to move everyday whether that is a walk or an at home workout.

2. Find a buddy

Just because you are quarantined doesn't mean you can't find someone to hold you accountable. If you do better with a buddy when it comes to working out or eating healthy then be creative. Do check-ins or workouts via Skype or join an online group that can help you through this time.

I am more than happy to help if you need advice on how to do this.

3. Set goals that will make you happier not add stress

We are already in a high stress time so don't set goals that you know will stress you out more. Be kind to yourself during this quarantine and save the big goals for after.

Please do go ahead and set those goals for April. It will help you keep a positive outlook on being quarantined and give you something to focus on during this time. We've got this and will come to the end soon!!

XOXO,

Lacey
