August marks the one-year anniversary of Bridgewater Lifestyle! What a year it has been. From kicking off the magazine with a huge launch party and ribbon-cutting to supporting local businesses during the coronavirus pandemic, each month has brought new challenges and victories.
We chose to feature our own daughters as the cover models for our first edition, August 2019, because we wanted to introduce ourselves to Bridgewater. We are a family that lives here in town and experiences everything that you—our readers—do.
We will forever be grateful to all the businesses that made up our Founders Club! They signed on with the magazine back before we even had a proof of concept. They believed in us, and they all hold a special place in our heart. We were so excited to celebrate with them at our Launch Party last September at the Bridgewater Manor. TapSnap 1165 provided an evening of fun pictures for everyone to commemorate the evening with.
In the winter we hosted our Post Holiday Speed Networking Party at Kyma! It's funny to think back to a time when we were so busy with parties that we had to delay hosting our own to a slightly quieter month.
In February we headed off to Lifestyle Publications Winter Conference in New Orleans! We were pumped to be recognized as the Rookies of the Year! Lifestyle Publications launched over 30 new magazines across the country in 2019, and Bridgewater was honored for being the top-producing new magazine. The award included an all-expenses-paid trip to the company's President's Club held at the Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa, where the top producers and management team had the chance to bond and enjoy some fun in the sun.
In May, in light of the pandemic, we kicked off our #BridgewaterSTRONG campaign! The community rallied together and purchased magnets to support local businesses.
In June we brought out advertisers together, but apart, for a virtual happy hour and show with Tom Kennedy, The OTHER Mentalist!
And now, here we stand in August. 2020 has certainly been a year for the record books so far, but that's not stopping us from living our best lives and forging forward. We are prepared to take anything that this crazy world throws at us with grace and a good amount of laughter, because if we didn't laugh, we'd cry.
