Kansas City takes its lighting displays pretty seriously. World-famous for its dazzling Country Club Plaza lights, KC is home to several other displays that are worth checking out. So, pile into the car, crank the holiday tunes—hot chocolate in a thermos is highly recommended—and go for a self-guided holiday lights tour around the metro.

The 32nd Annual Christmas in the Park features more than 500,000 twinkling lights and 175 animated figures. Sponsored by Jackson County Parks & Recreation, Christmas in the Park takes place at Longview Campground.
