When purchasing an automobile, going the hybrid route is becoming increasingly popular. Whether it’s gas conservation, contributing to sustainability, the quiet ride, or all the above, the 2020 Lexus RX 450 Hybrid is one of the best choices out there in the luxury hybrid SUV segment. The RX line has been highly revered since its industry launch in the late 90s, but Lexus is always looking for ways to improve and, thankfully, they only made a few alterations to an already solid vehicle.
While the 2020 version preserves its smooth road feel, responsive four-wheel drive maneuvering, sleek exterior, and pampering cabin, the 2020 version addresses the demand for some of the latest technologies: the Wi-Fi hotspot, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay are now graciously standard. And especially regarding past and current Lexus owners who may not have been advocates of the company’s signature Remote Touchpad, the introduction of an all-new touch-screen infotainment system available with 12.3-inch visibility and 3D graphics will be undoubtedly applauded this year.
To add to the upgrades, this review model was Lexus’ high-performing F Sport version, flexing a stunning sleek frame, 20-inch Dark Graphite alloy wheels, aluminum sport pedals, a gorgeous “Circuit Red NuLuxe” seating option, electronic power steering, Lexus Hybrid Drive system, Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM), AVS-enhanced Sport S+ drive mode, and enhancements to its instrument layout. To complete the racing theme, its 3.5-liter, V-6 heart pumps out 308 horses of power while still maintaining a combined 30 miles to the gallon and 516 EPA-estimated driving range.
Starting at $50,600, once figuring in the Navigation package, panoramic moonroof, Blind Spot Monitor safety combination, and 12-speaker premium audio system, the 2020 RX Hybrid F Sport’s out-the-door price set at under $61K is still worthy of strong consideration.
