2020’s Timeless Machine

Introducing the Porsche 911

One of the purest sports cars on the planet has evolved once again in design and mechanics to bring the 2020 Porsche 911.  It’s a reflection of the past with its iconic silhouette and a vision of the future with technology inspired by racing victories. This timeless and cotemporary merge moves the eighth generation of the 911 into the future with a sporty coupe and a flashy convertible.

Its unmistakable styling compares to no other.  Externally, the rear window visually extends and merges into the black tailgate grill while the wide rear end now displays a seamless light strip between three LED taillights. With a newly designed model logo, newly designed tailpipes, and differently sized wheels at the front and rear, the 911 proves contemporary and athletic. Internally, sophistication is emphasized with its horizontal look.  The gauge cluster deviates from history, ditching the mainly analog instruments for mostly digital ones with two high-resolution 7” inch displays directly in view to provide all essential information and a high-resolution 10.9” touchscreen displaying the Porsche Communication Navigation. And for the first time ever, there’s a large cup holder to enjoy along with premium Burmester audio systems and redesigned Sport seats to offer passengers support even on the most dynamic rides.

The most powerful drive of engineers gives the Porsche 911 ethereal performance. Mounted closer to the center of the vehicle to reduce vibrations and to increase driving stability, the engine of the 911 is a twin-turbo 3.0-liter flat-six that develops 443 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. The tested 911 Carrera S goes from zero to 60 mph in 3.0 seconds and does the quarter-mile in 11.3 seconds at 125 mph. The brakes are exceptional, too, hauling the 911 down from 70 mph in a scant 140 feet. on regular roads. Comfortable and precise as ever, its steering is still communicative and direct while the cornering grip and stability has increased. Drivers and passengers alike won’t be able to resist the seamless, high-end icon in its new generation of timeless sports cars.
