Fall in the Midwest is more than crisp air and pumpkin everything. It’s a chance to reset, refresh, and show up in style. For this special feature, we invited two local fashion stylists to share their perspectives on Fall 2025. The result is a rich mix of ideas that celebrates both individuality and inspiration.
Amy brings bold energy and unapologetic flair. Her world is full of texture, color, and creative twists on everyday outfits. Whether it’s a vintage fur over sweats or a double-sweater moment, she’s all about making fashion feel fun again.
Elen offers a graceful, grounded approach. She highlights soft silhouettes, clean lines, and the beauty of layering with care. Her style advice is thoughtful and versatile, perfect for those who want to feel confident and comfortable in their own skin.
Two voices, two styles, one season full of possibility. However you layer up, this fall is yours to make your own.
If fall fashion had a motto this year, it would be: the bolder, the better. From vintage fur to buttery suede, texture is having a major moment, and I’m fully embracing it.
Let’s start with fur. Faux, vintage, cropped, full-length, even fur footwear. It’s showing up everywhere. My favorite way to wear it is tossed over a matching sweat set with a ball cap. It gives relaxed energy with just the right amount of drama. Minnesota winters are long, cold, and dark. Sometimes, fashion is the little spark that gets you through it.
Here’s your reminder: you need more than one coat. Of course, you need a practical one, but you also deserve the colorful one, the oversized one, the one that turns heads. And please, don’t wait for a special occasion. Wear it to drop the kids at school, run errands, or grab coffee. Life itself is the occasion.
Suede is also sneaking into fall wardrobes in a big way. It’s the perfect in-between fabric. Structured but soft. I’m loving the idea of a suede bomber paired with a fancy midi skirt or dressed down with a tee and slouchy denim. Either way, it brings effortless polish.
Coach is also making a quiet comeback. Their reimagined classics deserve another look, especially the rectangle shoulder bags. One in particular has my heart and might soon land in my closet.
Try swapping your bulky scarf for a sweater drape. Wear it over your shoulders or across your coat for a chic, cozy update. The “double sweater” is my favorite look. Wear one, drape one.
This fall, don’t just get dressed. Have fun with it. Layer up. Be bold. And wear the good jacket on an ordinary day.

Do you care about style and enjoy expressing yourself through what you wear? If so, Fall 2025 offers fresh inspiration to help you feel confident, creative, and fully yourself. Whether you love shopping for new pieces, hunting down vintage gems, or mixing what’s already in your closet, this season has something for you.
Fashion this fall is all about freedom and versatility. You’ll see a wide range of looks, from soft, feminine silhouettes to sharp minimalist tailoring and bold, expressive layering. There is no single way to dress well this season. It’s all about what feels right for you.
Layering stands out as one of the strongest trends. Think flowing dresses under cozy cardigans, lightweight jackets over textured knits, or a playful mix of fabrics and patterns. Layering adds depth and movement while letting you adjust your look throughout the day.
Feminine styles continue to shine with soft lines, subtle waist definition, and midi-length skirts and dresses. These pieces are easy to wear and feel elegant without being fussy. On the other end of the spectrum, structured and minimalist styles offer sleek silhouettes and a polished, modern edge. Strong-shouldered blazers, clean lines, and monochrome looks give off quiet confidence.
If you like turning heads, maximalism is having a moment. Vibrant colors, bold prints, and layered accessories bring joy and drama to everyday outfits. You don’t have to choose just one direction. The beauty of this season is in mixing, matching, and making it your own.
Best of all, these trends work across all budgets. Whether you’re thrifting, swapping with friends, or investing in a new staple, your style choices can be thoughtful and fun.
Fashion is personal. Try something new, enjoy the process, and let your wardrobe reflect who you are this fall.
