Available at our West Bloomfield, Michigan, dental practice, the Bioclear Method uses ultra thin, tooth-shaped forms to reconstruct teeth with composite resin material. Long-lasting and stain resistant, Bioclear can be effective for the following cosmetic procedures:
● Closing spaces between teeth
● Filling in gaps or black triangles between teeth
● Repairing chipped teeth
● Repairing injuries to front teeth
● Making misshapen or small teeth more full and natural
The Bioclear Method is less expensive than crowns or veneers, and it is stronger than dental bonding. Other benefits are that composite resin can be modified if necessary in the future, and the process can be completed in one appointment.
Here’s how it works:
1. Anatomically shaped plastic tooth forms, called matrices, are wrapped around each applicable tooth. This form is used to injection mold warm composite around the tooth.
2. We will identify a shade that matches your existing teeth.
3. Your teeth will be cleaned to ensure the material adheres to them.
4. Funnel-like matrices will be placed around each tooth, and the warm material will be flowed around each tooth.
5. Each tooth is shaped and polished.
And that’s it!
