My Destination Wish List for 2020

OH, THE PLACES I'LL GO!

Nothing says “I’m living my best life” more than a vacation! Each year, I make plans to visit new and old destinations, creating memories to last a life time. Not to mention, I am a new travel agent so it only makes sense to stamp my passport as many times as I can this year! Below, you’ll find my 2020 destination wishlist and learn of some of my pre-planned trips for the year!

Atlanta

Today, I will travel to Atlanta to meet my college friends and sorority sisters. Since graduating, we’ve vowed to meet up at least once a year. It only took us three years to get on one accord, but our trip to Vegas in 2015 made up for lost time indeed! Fast-forward to 2020 for the first of many trips we’ll take together during this year.

Atlanta will serve as a wedding planning trip. My best friend is tying the knot this May hence “the many trips we’ll take together.” We have plans to visit restaurants such as Old Lady Gang, owned by Kandi Burruss of the hit girl’s group, Xscape, and a face on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. We’ll have a day at the spa, dance a little, reminisce, and of course look at bridal gowns!

Miami

Another for sure trip is Miami, Fla., where my line sisters and I will celebrate our 10 year AKAversary, being members of the first black Sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha. This is also during my 30th birthday, so you know what that means – twice the turn up!

The Mountains

I’ve considered doing a destination for holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas. My family and I have discussed hosting Thanksgiving in the mountains, either in Tennessee or Colorado and I hear Branson, Mo. is the equivalent to Disney for Christmas. Both are up for consideration!

Vacation Hot Spots

The world has so many options for travel, and as a travel agent I’m learning about the hottest destinations to visit as inquiries pour in. So far, I’ve had to look into Thailand and Aruba. Costa Rica and Trinidad have also been on my research list. I’d love to visit all four, and destinations to also include are Jamaica, Hawaii, and Dubai. I’m not a huge fan of the cold. I love the sun and water, PLUS these areas make for great pictures on Instagram!

Obviously, I’m going to have to coordinate according to my accrued PTO. Nevertheless, life is too short. Plan now and ask for forgiveness later!
