Gatlinburg Getaway

ENDLESS FUN

We had the best time in Gatlinburg on our last summer getaway before school starts. We squeezed in as much fun as we could; the whole family had the best time. We absolutely loved the Ripley’s Aquarium, Ripley’s Believe It or Not and Ripley’s Fun Zone while we were in Gatlinburg.

We loved the aquarium so much we went twice. The aquarium at night was awesome; we had it almost to ourselves. The shark area is absolutely amazing. You get to go through a tunnel, and they are swimming next to you and above you. We wanted to go back the next day to see the penguin parade, which was adorable. The penguins walked the red carpet, and my girls made all the sweet, girly "oohs" and "ahs!"

Ripley’s Believe It or Not is three floors of awesome oddities on display. My girls were amazed with every stop. We were really amazed with the tallest man and the shortest woman. I definitely feel like we had a little learning in the middle of summer.

Ripley’s Fun Zone was my first adult experience with laser tag, and it was FUN!!!! My family had way too much fun shooting each other. They also offer mini golf.

We highly recommend Ripley’s. We have tried all attractions except for the Haunted one—maybe I’ll get my nerve up next time. Maybe!!!

From Nashville to Gatlinburg, we are big fans of Ole Red. My family loves Ole Red in Nashville, so we wanted to see what Ole Red Gatlinburg had to offer! We had so much fun listening to some awesome live music. We heard Rocky Top, which got me super excited considering the SEC just announced a 2020-2021 schedule. I highly recommend the wings and burger. The names of the entrees and drinks are so Blake Shelton! My girls loved drinking out of a Mason jars with a cowboy hat lid. If you come up to Gatlinburg soon, be sure and check out Ole Red.

Gatlinburg offers entertainment for days! We could go 10 times and wouldn’t be able to do it all. Have fun in the beautiful Smoky Mountains!
