Bodyweight is about so much more than the number on the scale. What many don’t realize is that reaching and attaining a healthy body weight can have profound impacts on overall health, well-being, and vitality.
What is Medi-Weightloss?
Medi-Weightloss, a proven, medically supervised weight loss program offered nationwide has seen thousands of health success stories throughout the program’s 15-year history. Medi-Weightloss patients report improvement in blood pressure, triglyceride levels, cholesterol levels, and blood glucose levels. Many are able to reduce the need for prescription medication by making long-term changes in their diets. Not to mention, improved sleep, better energy, and improved mood.
James Mirabile, M.D., owner and on-site medical director of Medi-Weightloss in Overland Park, attributes weekly counseling with nutritionists as a big reason for patient success. “The Weekly Visit offers patients education, support, and accountability that you just don’t see when attempting to lose weight on your own or on a program that doesn’t offer a personalized approach,” says Mirabile. “Our most successful patients view this program as an investment in their long-term health.”
It was this personalized approach, combined with a science-based, proven program that convinced Dr. Mirabile to bring Medi-Weightloss to the Kansas City area. Dr. Mirabile's health center, located at I-435 and Roe in Overland Park, combined gynecology, hormone therapy for men and women, MedCosmetic medical spa and Medi-Weightloss.
The Medi-Weightloss Approach
The Medi-Weightloss Program is a three-phase approach specifically designed to help patients lose weight and keep it off.
Acute Phase
Phase 1 focuses on healthy patient weight loss. In this phase, the patient is prescribed a nutrition program based on their health history and weight loss goals. In this phase, patients can lose up to 20 pounds the first month!
Maintenance Phase
Phase 2 takes place as the patient approaches their weight loss goal. In this phase, the patient's nutrition program is slowly adjusted helping to ensure the patient loses those last few pounds while also establishing a long-term lifestyle change.
Wellness Phase
Phase 3 happens after the patient has met their goal and offers patients a monthly check-in for education and encouragement. Patient life-long wellness is the most important aspect of Medi-Weightloss and all activities center around patients achieving better health.
