There are just under 100 car dealerships in Oklahoma City serving car buyers among the nearly a million residents in the metropolis.

Do the car dealerships have what it takes to meet the city's needs, which has grown twice the national rate in the past ten years? Research shows new car dealerships and used car dealerships, catering to specific brands and others selling various makes and models.

Exotic cars are on the roster as well; therefore, Oklahoma City (OKC) residents have enough options to choose or refuse.

As with most Midwest states, Oklahomans are passionate about trucks, particularly the Ford F-series vehicles. However, the love for pickup trucks hasn't affected the sale of mid-size cars and others. So how do you decide what to buy, who to buy from, and where?

If you live in the area or you're visiting to shop for a car, read this guide to help you make a more knowledgeable decision.

Used Car Dealerships in OKC

There are almost 100 car dealerships in OKC, not including multiple bordering the city in neighboring towns. Some car dealerships are rental car companies selling out their fleet, from basic cars to luxury. Just about every regular make and model vehicle is at a dealership near you, while several exotic brands are available too.

Four dealerships are readily available to busy execs and workers in the city, just below Capitol Hill. There are four car dealers south of Dolese Youth Park, which lay northeast of OKC, while only one is in the Midwest. Others are all across the state capital.

Exotic Car Dealerships

Oklahomans love their luxury cars, and fast cars may be just as much as their cowboy lifestyle. There are twenty-seven exotic car dealers across OKC. Any exotic car you desire will most likely be available on I240 and NW 39th Street.

The top luxury cars are Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Porsche, and Mercedes Benz, and a range of classics.

OKC Car Dealerships By Area

Just like most cities across the United States, there are clusters of car dealerships in OKC along particular stretches or in specific areas. Car dealers have three primary regions where you'll find a range of cars, motorcycles, and trucks.

NW 39th St

NW 39th is the street with the most variety in terms of styles and models. Over 30 car dealers including Land of Cars, have everything from motorcycles to classic cars waiting to please you. You'll also have sports cars, multiple luxury car dealers, and one exotic car dealer to sift through their inventory.

I240

Fifteen OKC car dealerships set up shop along the I240 roadway. The dealerships, such as DriveTime Used Cars, on that roadway include one truck (bobtail) dealer and several brand name dealers. You will find several new car dealers here as well.

SW 29th

You will find 66 car dealers ready to walk through their fleet of cars and pickup trucks to help you find the vehicle that best suits your needs.

SW 29th has the largest selection of vehicles, including exotic, and the highest number of car dealerships. They're in the southwest region of the city and ready to negotiate. Just be straightforward about what you want, the budget you're working with, and your flexibility. They'll help you get into your desired vehicle.

Car Dealership Brands In OKC

You have to give it to OKC that when it comes to vehicle diversity, they have it locked on car make and model choices. Most car dealerships in OKC give you many vehicle options. Here are some of the top automobile brands that you'll come upon in the Big Friendly.

Chevrolet

Only about eight of more than 20 car dealerships in OKC like David Stanley Chevrolet that carry the Chevrolet brand centrally focus on that group of vehicles. Their inventory includes the Silverado, Camaro, Malibu, and Impala models.

Ford

Ford has eight locations selling the popular F-150, which is the top pickup in the country. Other Ford models sold are Escape, Fusion, Expedition, Explorer, and Edge.

GMC

GMC has seven locations where you can view the Acadia, Sierra, Envoy, and more. There are smaller dealerships that carry the brand as well.

Honda

Honda has ten OKC locations that carry the Accord, Pilot, CR-V Hybrid, HR-V, and many other models. One is along the south side. Honda is very popular in the Big Friendly.

Hyundai

Hyundai has three dealerships across the city. You will have the options of the Kona, Accent, Tucson, Elantra, Sonata, and Veloster, and a few others.

Nissan

Nissan vehicles are readily accessible in Oklahoma City, and finding repair shops to have them serviced is just as straightforward. Seven car dealerships are selling Nissan from north to south in OKC. Nissan Rogue is a prominent SUV; however, the sedans, like Sentra, Altima, and Maxima, are what most people, especially the youths, are buying up.

Suzuki

The Suzuki brand is at many dealerships, but four main car dealers carry the brand specifically. One is in the center of town, another northwest, one to the south of the city, and the fourth lies to the southwest region. Models like the SJ, Equator, X-90, Escudo, and Wagon R are available at these locations.

Toyota

What type of Toyota do you like? Pickup, Hybrid, rugged, sedan, or SUV?

Whatever your lifestyle, you can find something that matches you. From 4x4 to sports, the six dealerships in OKC have them all.
