NATCHEZ TRACE

The best day of 2020!!! We headed off on the Natchez Trace and explored a few areas! Our first stop was Jackson Falls...it’s BEAUTIFUL! Jackson Falls starts with a very short paved hike. It is a great option for all ages; you could even push a stroller! We loved going above the waterfall and sliding down the natural slide, my girls went down it no less than 50 times! At the base of the waterfall there is a small spot to splash around (not a full swimming hole). We also loved walking down on the rocks and exploring down the creek after the fall. I absolutely love Jackson Falls and know you will too!

I’ve lived in Franklin for 16 years and it took quarantine for us to find all of these amazing places in our backyard! Next stop — a beautiful overlook along the Trace...we ended our exploring today at Burns Branch. Burns Branch is only about 25 minutes from Franklin, and it’s a perfect spot to play in the creek and catch crawdads!

Happy exploring to you!
