Dunn Selected as Nationwide Afterschool Ambassador
Whitney Dunn, executive director of Boys & Girls Club of Norman, recently had the privilege of traveling to Washington, D.C., to begin her advocacy journey as a 2023 Afterschool Ambassador. Whitney is one of just 16 leaders across the country chosen for this honor through the Afterschool Alliance.
Through her one-year ambassadorship, she and other leaders will organize events, work with community leaders and policy makers, and continue advocating for ways to increase support for the afterschool and summer learning programs families rely on.
