Fat Loss is Hard

I WILL ALWAYS BE HONEST ABOUT THIS TOPIC

I want to be straight up truthful about something a lot of dietitians, nutritionists, and personal trainers do not talk about, and what a lot of “gimmicky fad diet” companies don’t say.

PURE BODY FAT LOSS IS HARD.

Straight up FREAKING HARD...

ESPECIALLY IF YOU DO NOT KNOW THE RIGHT WAY TO GO ABOUT DOING IT!

It takes:

  • Dedication
  • Effort
  • Consistency
  • TIME

AND

  • A S**T TON of mental strength to truly reach your body composition goals!

We live in a world where instant gratification surrounds us.

We need toilet paper- boom- we press a button for it to be delivered…

We want groceries in 2 hours- boom- someone delivers them…

We want to buy a car-boom- it can be delivered to our house...

I GET IT… you are thinking- why would weight loss be any different?

But what you need to realize is YOUR BODY DOES NOT WANT TO CHANGE!

It likes to be in its little home of “homeostasis” of being in a stable equilibrium. Your body is thinking “HEY! don’t touch me bro… I’m good where I am at!”

And that is why your body fights you tooth and nail when you make DRASTIC changes (aka cutting out tons of calories, food groups, and overexercising):

  • Your hormones get whacked out
  • Your mood changes
  • You start getting more stressed
  • You feel more tired
  • Your metabolism slows down
  • Your hair and skin get more brittle and dry

So on and so forth…

Then it takes you months and years to FIX these problems and this tends to just leave you in a worse place than when you started.

IF I CAN TELL YOU ANYTHING TO TAKE WITH YOU TODAY IT'S THAT SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE EVERY TIME IN REGARD TO:

  • Weight loss
  • Changing up your nutrition plan
  • Seeing long-term success with TRUE body composition change

If you are trying to 10x the process and do too much at once- YOU WILL FAIL. This is because you are putting yourself in an extremely easy position to “give up” and we know NO ONE GETS TO THEIR GOALS BY GIVING UP!

To summarize- slow and steady wins the ‘race’. To reach sustainable fat loss you need something that is able to be implemented as a lifestyle as there are no quick fixes. And be sure you are taking small steps to progress vs trying to change 10 things at once to where you are overwhelmed and give up completely.
