When you visit any of the Rise Up locations on Maryland's eastern shore, it's like going home—from the smell of fresh-brewed coffee to the smiling faces of the staff that greet you. When I am searching for a coffee shop to visit, I always find myself taking in the sights and sounds of the place, getting a vibe from it. T
he first time I ever visited Rise Up, I visited their kiosk location in St. Michaels, Maryland. My sister and I walked up to the window, and we were immediately greeted by friendly staff. Now when I visit St. Michaels, it is the first and last stop I make. The company has a great philosophy, too: "Grown by friends, Roasted by friends and Enjoyed by friends."
All of their coffee is organic and truly fantastic in taste. My favorite blend is their espresso blend; it's the one they use in their coffee smoothies. Speaking of coffee smoothies, they are decadent and so delicious. If you ever get the chance to try one, DO IT! I want to also note that they have other drinks aside from coffee, and some of their locations have a full menu of food as well.
