Pumpkin spice and all things nice. Cinnamon sugar sprinkled cookies and heavenly scented lattes. It’s that time of year again, and I cannot wait for all things fall! A warm drink while it’s cold outside (anytime now, Houston, I’m waiting…) is the perfect afternoon for me. Let’s look at my top 5 Houston coffee shops who have introduced their new fall-inspired menus!

The Roastery

With 4 locations in Houston, The Roastery is not your average coffee shop. Welcome to all ages as well as pets at their flagship location on San Felipe’s patio, The Roastery have taken a “Chef’s approach” when it comes to serving up high quality coffee and food.

When you sip a coffee from The Roastery, know that each bean has a story. From the farms in Brazil and Kenya to your coffee cup right here in Houston, sustainable harvesting practices takes center stage. Every little detail from the color and aroma is taken into consideration to give you the best experience.

A 2nd Cup

Get ready for the most inventive seasonal combo I’ve ever come across.

Their house made chai steamed together with apple cider! Can we get any more warm and fuzzy vibes than that? Brooke Evans, A 2nd Cup’s Operations Director says,

"Our Founder and Director, Erica Raggett, loves chai, so creating a great chai concentrate that was also fair trade was a priority from the start. Our chai is house made using fair trade sugars. Chaider was one of the first seasonal specials, and it was such a hit we decided to bring it back every year."

A definite winning combination in my books! Not only do they have the most creative fall drink I have come across, A 2nd Cup stands for serious community issues, "a non-profit coffee shop working to end human trafficking." A coffee shop where you can enjoy a good cup of coffee knowing all the proceeds go to their mission of ending human trafficking locally and globally.

Boomtown Coffee

Located in one of my favorite Houston food halls, Boomtown Coffee is a popular Houston coffee hotspot, with a second location in The Heights!

A true heartwarming story behind this coffee shop is what makes it a standout Houston hotspot,

"Boomtown began with the dream of serving coffees that we wanted to drink — roasted with care, brewed with precision, and always served with love.”

You can expect to feel the love and passion when you visit Boomtown Coffee and nothing less.

Cavo Coffee

Another fantastic Houston coffee hotspot. Having just released their fall seasonal menu, Cavo Coffee brings something special to the table. Their very own roasting company, Cleo Roasting is located next door to their West University location. That’s right, you can view the very process through the large windows and pop over next door to get your fresh brew. Cavo’s seasonal menu may be one of my favorites!

They also have new pastries on the menu too: pumpkin muffins, fig-pistachio cake, seasonal cookies, and scones! This Brit is very excited for the scones..! Cleo Roasting are also introduction new items:

"A new El Salvador coffee and our staple blends Fawn and Brindle are all new and have natural flavor notes that reflect the season.”

Inversion Coffee House

You’ll find classic fall flavors at this artsy, trendy Montrose hotspot to give you that warm and fuzzy feeling I spoke about earlier.

Not only can you enjoy a delicious cup of coffee and treats at Inversion, but many use this space (located in the Art League of Houston) as a meet up with fellow artists, neighbors and friends!

So, here it is. My top 5 recommended Houston coffee shops for the best and unique fall lattes! Happy fall, everyone!
