Martin Luther King, Jr. - Idaho Human Rights Day will be celebrated January 17, 2022. The Wassmuth Center for Human Rights, home of the Idaho Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial, will be hosting the second annual Idaho Human Rights Day virtual concert. Featuring 12 Idaho musicians, the theme is “Universal and Timeless” and the program will livestream on the Center’s YouTube channel, Facebook page, and website homepage from 7:00 to 8:00 pm.

The Wassmuth Center was founded in 1996. The Center's mission is to promote respect for human dignity and diversity through education and to foster individual responsibility to work for justice and peace. The Center provides programming and resources onsite in the Memorial, offsite in classrooms, companies and communities throughout Idaho, and online reaching national and international audiences.

For over two decades, the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights has proudly served Idaho educators and students, and the scope of programming, resources, and services has grown dramatically. More than a building, a memorial, or a geographic location, the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights is a community. Here is where it happens, but here is many places.

“Designed to be a lantern of hope, the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights will be a beacon in the State of Idaho, shining out in times of darkness,” stated Dan Prinzing, Center Executive Director. “We know that our work is not done.”
