Can I brag about myself for a bit? I started a t-shirt line! How exciting! Here is the backstory of how it all came about!
My blog, The Mommy Model is well over a year old, with a few of my family and friends now referring to me as “The Mommy Model”. Through this blog, I have networked and met with many moms alike who have inspired me and who I’ve inspired.
Starting this blog was important to me, because I wanted to show all moms of the world that we too, could be successful in chasing after a dream all while raising our beautiful children. Often, we’re told that our world stops once we’ve given birth. And to me, that wasn't cool! Yes, I believe that as mothers there are sacrifices we will make to ensure our children do not go without. However, I also believe that it is ok to dream and that it is ok to have a passion beyond a “hobby”.
I have held my child on my hip while editing news stories. I have taken him to work with me, while closing sales. I have found ways to include him in my photoshoots.
I like bringing my son around my work environments to show him what it takes to be successful, how to persevere through the tough times, and how to continue moving in your purpose though many naysayers will try to influence you to give up. When my son grows up, I want him to know that I pursued my dreams. I want to show him how I pressed pass all the no’s and closed doors but kept pushing. I want my determination to live my dreams be proof that he, too, can live his. My son is watching my every move, therefore; I strive to be the best role model I can be for him, in addition to striving to be a mommy model for women who want to work towards their goals, but don’t know where to start.
With that being said, I have decided to dive into e-commerce with a new apparel and accessory line to continue inspiring moms. This collection, “Mommy Model Mogul”, are for moms who are role models for their children and moms from all walks of life. Moms are dreamers. Moms are powerful. Moms are business owners, and so much more! This collection represents all moms who are creating that legacy for their children and reminding other moms that they can also be moguls too!
