August is a berry good time to bake a crumble pie, top with your favorite flavor ice cream and enjoy these end of summer evenings.
Ingredients
Filling
- Pre-made pie crust
- 4 cups strawberries, sliced
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 Tablespoon cornstarch
Crumble Topping
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- Half a stick of butter
- Follow directions for pre-made pie crust. Add to your pie dish and smooth out with your fingers.
- Combine dry ingredients for filling. Add strawberries and mix to incorporate.
- Add filling to pie crust
- Combine ingredients for crumble topping and place on filling mixture
- Bake at 375 degrees for 35-40 minutes until topping is golden brown
