TAMARACK RESORT'S FOUR SEASONS OF ACTIVITIES

Article by Boise Lifestyle

There's still plenty of time to head up to the mountains.

Tamarack Resort is extending its summer season beyond this weekend. The resort says its bike park and chair lifts will operate two additional weekends (Sept. 19-20 and 26-27) from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The resort's zip line is also taking reservations through Halloween.

Both breathtakingly beautiful and vibrant with growth, Tamarack Resort is a convenient getaway for Treasure Valley residents looking to get out of the city and into the great Idaho outdoors. Just a two-hour road trip north, the four-season destination on the shores of Lake Cascade awaits its guests with ample recreation and relaxation around every corner.

The resort’s master plan incorporates a robust trail system for accessing the amenities on the mountain, in the meadow and at the lake. Guests are always just a short walk, bike or slide away from anywhere they want to be. Once they arrive at the resort, they can hang up their keys until they leave.

Biking, Hiking, Zip Lining, Lake and Whitewater Adventures

Even when the snow’s not falling, the resort serves up a healthy dose of outdoor thrills. Bike or hike Tamarack Bike Park’s nearly 50-mile trail network, where you’ll find both lift-served lightning downhill or leisurely cross-country trails for any age or ability.

If your need for speed requires jaw-dropping views, then book a heart-pounding Tamarack Canopy Zip Line Tour, where you’ll soar high above creeks, canyons and rugged mountain terrain.

When it’s time to cool off, head to Tamarack’s Waterfront Cabana on Lake Cascade, where you can rent kayaks, paddleboards, pontoons or wakeboats. Tamarack also offers professionally guided whitewater rafting trips on the renowned Payette River.

Downhill and Nordic Ski Trails for Every Skill Level

Tamarack’s 2,800-vertical drop on 1,100 lift-accessible acres treats skiers and snowboarders to everything from open bowls, glades, steeps and cornices to high-speed corduroy groomers, backcountry access gates and epic terrain parks. The Nordic Center’s trail system lets you navigate open meadows and forested paths on classic or skate skis, snowshoes or fat bikes while delighting you with scenic views across the meadow and of Lake Cascade.

The resort’s new Boundless Pass provides recreation access across all seasons and all terrain, from the ski mountain summit to the lake shore.

Ski-in/Ski-out Living, Close to Dining and Shopping

Complementing its full range of recreation opportunities, Tamarack is also a refuge of respite and relaxation. Guests enjoy luxurious on-site lodging at ski-in/ski-out cottages, chalets, townhomes or estate homes, along with dining at three family-friendly restaurants, a spa, a market, coffee shop and even a daycare. With so much to see and do, you may find that you don’t want to leave, which is why Tamarack has homes including the new, fully-furnished luxury condominium residences in The Village available to purchase and just a few hundred skiable yards from the nearest lift. Ask for Trisha Sears for more information.

On the Horizon

Tamarack’s new ownership continues to invest in improving the guest and homeowner experience from the summit to the shoreline. Over the next year, they will be completing the first phase of The Village at Tamarack, which includes heated underground parking, luxury residences, guest services, new restaurants, a wine bar and other retail businesses. Expanded amenities and improvements at the base of the mountain and on the waterfront will mean easier access to any adventure – or relaxation – that you can imagine.
