After such a warm summer, it's a relief that winter snows are right around the corner. With snow comes a beloved winter sport: skiing. Regardless of skill level, everyone is excited to hit the slopes. None more so than those at Teton Gravity Research.
Teton Gravity Research’s 26th skiing film Stoke the Fire premieres on Thursday, September 23 at The Egyptian Theater. Stoke the Fire explores these athletes' evolution within skiing and the pure joy that manifests from that process. The film is a culmination of experiences and of testing limits in pursuit of stoking one's fire.

With more knowledge of skiing comes more exploration, both physically and geographically. This exploration creates an understanding of what those experiences with nature do for the soul. With more experience, an examination of shared history becomes important. Ultimately, some people might want to test their limits at the upper level of what is possible.
The stoke means different things to different people based on where they are in their skiing journey. The answer can be different for everyone. For some it is about committing to a new world and a lifestyle. It can also come from the friendships that blossom from that commitment.

The choice to enter the world of skiing is a spark that’s unique to the individual. There’s no right way to get into the sport, but watching others' passion and seeing them grow because of that passion is mesmerizing.
Tickets for the Boise showing of Stoke the Fire can purchased through The Egyptian Theater's website.
