What is CBD?

CBD, scientifically known as Cannabidiol, is a naturally-occurring compound that is found in high concentrations in hemp.

CBD is also the best-researched cannabinoid to date, and the list of its applications is constantly expanding. CBD interacts with the cannabinoid receptors in our Endocannabinoid System (ECS), one of the largest receptor systems in the body, and can deliver unique health benefits to our bodies. We find that CBD and minor cannabinoids like CBG and CBN are outperforming other compounds without the side effects caused by THC.

What is Full Spectrum?

Whole plant extract, or Full Spectrum, contains all components of the hemp plant including flavonoids, natural fatty acids found in hemp, terpenes, and other cannabinoids (such as CBG, CBN, and trace amounts of THC). By keeping all components of the plant, cannabinoids and terpenes work together in perfect synergy.

What is Broad Spectrum?

Similar to Full Spectrum, our Broad Spectrum products contain all components of the hemp plant but contain non-detectable amounts of THC. Our Broad Spectrum products remain a great choice for our customers who can’t have any traces of THC in their system, but still desire the same full plant synergy.

Additional Types of CBD

What is CBG?

CBG, scientifically known as Cannabingerol, is a naturally-occuring, non-psychoactive compound that is found in low concentrations in hemp.

Often described as the grandparent of the cannabinoids, CBG is initially found in large quantities when the hemp plant is younger. Over time CBG is converted in the plant to other cannabinoids that we are all familiar with (CBD, THC, etc.). However, CBG itself has been a focal point due to its own unique set of properties. CBG is best utilized during the day as it has a stimulating quality that many people use in conjunction with their regular CBD or hemp regimen.

What is CBN?

CBN, scientifically known as Cannabinol, is a naturally-occuring, non-psychoactive compound that is found in low concentrations in hemp.

CBN was the first cannabinoid to be isolated by scientists as a byproduct of THC’s degradation. When CBN is taken with other cannabinoids, the entourage effect produced by these cannabinoids combines with the therapeutic benefits to produce a stronger effect than any one of these compounds alone. CBN has been a very popular nighttime cannabinoid due to its potential sedative effects on the ECS.

What is CBD-A?

CBDa, scientifically known as Cannabidiolic acid, is a naturally occurring, non-psychoactive compound that facilitates chemical reactions to create CBD in hemp.

Cannabinoids from the hemp plant come in two forms: active and acid form. CBDa is one of the naturally occurring acids that when exposed to heat loses its acid molecule and is transformed into CBD. The amount of CBD in a raw plant is negligible unless it has been heat treated to help break down into CBD. Through this process, most products will contain small amounts of CBDa and a generous amount of CBD.
