CFP® AAMS® Financial Advisor
Edward Jones
My team and I help a select group of families, working professionals, people in the technology field, and small business owners build clarity and confidence around their financial lives. Many of our clients work in fast moving, high growth environments, so we focus on simplifying complexity and creating financial systems that adjust as life evolves.
To us, clients are family and that means understanding the full story behind their goals, values, and priorities.
We take a deep, discovery-driven approach, learning not just what clients want to achieve, but why. Using that insight, we build customized, holistic financial strategies designed to adapt as new variables emerge, whether from career changes, the market, or shifts in personal priorities. I think of it as an evolving financial architecture, continuously optimized and aligned with what matters most.
With more than 30 years of experience as a financial advisor, I bring a seasoned perspective that helps clients feel informed, supported, and confident in their decisions. I am a Certified Financial Planner® professional and hold the Accredited Asset Management Specialist™ designation.
I work alongside a dedicated team, including Stormy Burns, MBA, Associate Financial Advisor, Suzanne Naccarato, FPQP® and Savannah Woodall on our Client Support Team. Together, we remain committed to continuous learning, staying ahead of industry changes, and being a reliable resource for those we serve.
Regular engagement is one of the strongest predictors of long-term success. I remain available to my clients and to those considering a new partnership.

Founder, Old Vine Capital
I founded Old Vine Capital to bring institutional-quality investing directly to individuals, families, and entrepreneurs—without the product bias, layers, or constraints that often come with traditional firms. The objective is straightforward: remove conflicts of interest, serve as a fiduciary, and apply the same level of rigor, access, and portfolio construction typically reserved for large institutions in a more focused, client-aligned way.
Before launching Old Vine Capital, I spent 15 years in institutional asset management, where I helped raise and oversee more than $6.5 billion in client assets across platforms including BlackRock/iShares, John Hancock Investments, and Hartford Funds. My work centered on partnering with financial advisors, private banks, and institutional platforms to design and implement lower-cost, tax-efficient, and risk-managed portfolio strategies.
At Old Vine Capital, we work with $2M+ portfolios, building globally diversified allocations using individual securities and tax-aware strategies, including custom indexing and tax-loss harvesting, options-based income and downside protection, and long/short equity techniques to manage concentrated positions and capital gains. We also provide access to private investments typically reserved for institutional investors, including venture capital, private equity, and AI infrastructure.
Client assets are held at Charles Schwab, an independent third-party custodian, providing transparency and alignment.
We work with a limited number of families to stay deeply engaged and focused on long-term outcomes. I earned my BBA from the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business and am currently an MBA candidate, serving as President of the McCombs Graduate Business Council, bringing an educational perspective into my work each day.

Ritchy G. Scoggin, AIF®
Managing Director - Investments
PIM Portfolio Manager
Institutional Plan Fiduciary Consultant
Now in my 26th year in the financial services industry, my approach is built on discipline, planning, and a commitment to the clients we serve. I hold the Accredited Investment Fiduciary designation, along with FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations and a General Lines Insurance License.
After graduating from New Mexico State University College of Engineering, my career began with the Department of Defense, including work on the Patriot Missile system during the Gulf War. During this time, I was named Distinguished Graduate at Patriot Defense Officer training.
Following that, I transitioned into selling businesses and investment real estate, working closely with business owners and gaining valuable insight into their financial priorities and decision-making. That path ultimately led me into financial services.
Since entering the industry in 1998, beginning with Merrill Lynch and later joining Wells Fargo Advisors in 2007, the focus has been on developing a planning and investment process shaped by both analytical thinking and practical experience. Clients remain at the center of that work, with planning serving as the primary tool for guiding decisions.

Zac Scoggin
First Vice President - Investments
I began my career in financial services in 2014 as an Internal Wholesaler with Janus Capital Group. Today, I serve as First Vice President, Investments, where I oversee Corporate Retirement Services for our team and contribute as an investment researcher and portfolio manager.
I hold FINRA Series 7, 63, and 66 securities registrations, along with a General Lines Insurance License.
Originally from Austin, I graduated from Bowie High School before playing center at Abilene Christian University, later earning a degree in Economics from Texas State University.
In our practice, we begin by listening. We take the goals and priorities shared with us and build a cohesive investment plan designed to help clients move from where they are today to where they want to be in the future.
We typically guide clients through three core investment objectives: total return, yield focused, and tax efficient strategies. Once a portfolio is established based on a client’s objectives and risk tolerance, the work continues through ongoing reviews. These conversations help keep portfolios aligned as needs, goals, and market conditions evolve.
My goal is to help clients make informed decisions and build strategies that support long term outcomes.
