The name comes from the combination of their middle names, Christine and Shelane, respectively. Briana has been styling hair for 13 years, and Cori has a background in education. Once you drop your children off in the clean and brightly lit care area, you will check-in and may choose from a selection of beverages such as coffee, tea, soda, wine and beer. You will then be ushered into your client consultation, which is completely personalized to give you the ultimate celebrity experience. With 12 stylists on staff, there is a wide range of expertise including blonding, brunette, pixies, balayage, vivids and men. Depending on which service you desire, you will be matched with someone who is able to cater to your desired look.
After your client consultation, you will be given a luxurious scalp massage with a hot towel treatment and a complimentary paraffin wax dip to relax your hands. Throughout your pampering, you will be educated on the products used and the blowout process so that you can achieve the same results from the comfort of your home. Beginning at the first of the year, Chris Lane will be teaming up with the Thompson School District to provide sensory-free haircuts once a month to those on the autism spectrum.
This is a service that the duo feels passionate about, as Cori has a 13-year-old son with autism and recognizes the need for every individual to have access to a welcoming experience. Like every service at Chris Lane, the sensory-free haircut will be catered to the individual’s specific needs—whether that means a quiet, music-free atmosphere or being able to watch a movie. Weighted blankets and sensory toys will also be on-hand to allow for ultimate comfort. Of the proceeds from these events, 10% will go to Autism Speaks, funding research, early screening and intervention and spreading awareness and acceptance on a nationwide level.
