Driving by Decorator’s Outlet and Interiors, one might wonder what is inside and if the store is open to the public. Eve Turner, General Manager and Design Specialist, wants to assure you that everyone is welcome to stop in and explore the fabrics and surprises inside. "We are here to help stimulate your designer within and assist anyone who needs a little inspiration when it comes to decorating your home or creating a great art / DIY project. We can help no matter the size or budget of your project and we are passionate about making everyone feel welcome,” says Eve.
As far as the store’s inventory, it’s full of colorful fabrics, window treatments, and accessories to brighten any space. Decorator’s Outlet and Interiors is the local retail outlet for Carole Fabrics, a company well known for their gorgeous fabrics and window treatments. The store carries numerous drapery options, Roman shades, roller shades, cornices, valances, and draperies. “We offer multiple styles of each item and all of the fabrics we offer have been tested as window treatments,” says Eve. "In the event you are unable to find something from our stock in the store, we offer custom window treatments and hardware which can be ordered through the store as well.”
“We also stock numerous fabrics that are suitable for upholstery,” adds Eve. “We can guide you through the process of making the right choice when it comes to choosing the appropriate fabric for your project.” Customers also benefit from such easy access to Carole Fabrics. “People can order fabrics from us at any quantity, and it can usually be delivered within two days…. sometimes even the same day.”
Most notably, the store is known for amazingly discounted prices on fabrics and ready-made products. “When Carole Fabrics decides that they are going to discontinue a fabric but there is still stock, they will send the stock left to our outlet,” explains Eve. “We act as a clearance center for Carole Fabrics and have access to discounted first quality fabrics as well as fabrics with slight irregularities. Often these prices are up to 75% off the original retail.” These discounts also apply to fabric remnants, draperies, pillows, and shades.
Decorator’s Outlet and Interiors also offers a custom design center full of samples, including paint swatches from Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore, for customers to compare colors and make design decisions. Eve encourages customers to utilize the multiple designers on staff who are available for consultations. “A lot of customers come in and have no clue what they want, so we’ll sit down, work with colors and fabrics and pull together a design plan,” shares Eve. “I have designers on staff who are knowledgeable about current trends and colors, who are very creative, and are delighted to help.” Outside designers also have access to the custom design center as a resource for their clients.
Sometimes projects extend beyond the store and they are happy to schedule an appointment at your home for larger projects. Eve’s involvement in restoring a historic landmark serves as a great example of this. “One of the things I’m personally excited about is the work I’m doing with the Charles Hammond House in North Augusta,” shares Eve. This home, which is one of the oldest in North Augusta, is currently being renovated and is listed on the National Historic Registry for Historic Places. They have also worked over the years with the Lydia Project by donating fabrics and trims to make welcome bags for cancer patients.
The staff at Decorator’s Outlet and Interiors invites you to stop in and browse and looks forward to helping you find the perfect fabric, filling custom orders, and pulling together an interior design plan just for you. Eve says, “We are here to help your design dreams become reality.”
