Matt and Alicia Rodick brought COLLEGE HUNKS Hauling Junk & Moving® Lee's Summit to our hometown in 2021, and since then have been helping customers move, remove junk from their homes and so much more!
Matt explained that College Hunks offers moving, junk hauling, labor and delivery services. Whether that move takes you across town or across the country, they can get the job done for you.
For that move, they can do packing only, truck loading, loading and driving your truck to the final location, unloading and full service.
“For junk hauling, we’ll take away your junk from wherever you need it gone from the house, we only ask that you provide a clear path for us to access it. With labor, we can move heavy items across a school or office building, or from one area in your house to another,” he noted. “With delivery, we primarily work with businesses to deliver items to customers or help homeowners with furniture or get other items they’ve purchased from one location to another, even if it’s out-of-state. Full house cleanouts, we’ve got you covered. Cross-country move? Yes, we’ll do that too. Furniture assembly and disassembly like beds and even exercise equipment? That too.”
This explains why they are sought after. Nothing is out of range when it comes to relocating almost anything. This couple also makes sure to give back to the community. They have lived in Lee’s Summit for 12 years, and their two oldest children are Lee’s Summit West graduates, and the youngest is still a student in the LSR7 school district. Alicia is a local elementary school teacher, and over the years she and Matt have coached sports with Lee’s Summit Rec. They are also involved with their church.
A Mizzou business grad, Matt has over 20 years of experience in retail and customer experience. After much research, he chose to become a franchise owner of College Hunks. Intrigued by their mission and values, it was an easy decision. The company is dedicated to helping end childhood hunger and donates two meals to U.S. Hunger for every job.
While College Hunks may be a national franchise, they want customers to know their business is truly more of a local, family-run business. The whole family pitches in together. Their oldest daughter who works in advertising as her full-time job helps run their marketing, their son who is currently a student at the University of Missouri is a Junk Captain when he’s home, and their youngest daughter has her own desk at the office.
The name College Hunks? H.U.N.K.S is an acronym for Honest, Uniformed, Nice, Knowledgeable, Service. When you’re moving or inviting someone into your home to do a job, that’s truly what you’re looking for.
