Mark your calendars, Medina County residents. The second annual Giving Back in Style Fashion Show & Brunch, hosted by the Medina County Senior and Adult Foundation benefiting the Medina County Office for Older Adults, will be held on March 18 at 11 a.m. at Blue Heron Event Center.

The event will feature a variety of exciting highlights, including a silent auction featuring unique jewelry, purses, wearable art and fine art pieces; locally designed and donated cakes as table centerpieces and so much more. Plus, Toni's Boutique out of Chagrin Falls is hosting the fashion show again with a combination of professional models and local women who are involved with the community.

This year's models include Alexis Walters of Fox 8 News (also this year's emcee), Leesa Heim of MCOOA, Lauren Bentley and Angela Tyrpak of Half Moon Yoga, Britt Piorkowski of Britt & Co., Emmaleigh Billesbach of Sawdust & Daisies, Angela Mansier of Main Street Medina, Kimberly Corrigan of Pearlview Wellness & Rehab Center and Rebecca Bratt of Medina County Job & Family Services. The ladies will strut the runway in everything from everyday wear looks to formal gowns.

Similar to last year, this event will raise money for MCOOA's events and programs. Here's how last year's event funds were used: gas cards for Meals on Wheels drivers as well as drivers that volunteer to take seniors to appointments, an innovative sound system that allows for seniors to tap into their bluetooth hearing aides or wear special headsets to properly hear programs provided at the center, Wadsworth senior meals for November and December, membership to the Northern Medina County Chamber Alliance to further advertise and outreach to the community, a large display monitor for the Office of Older Adults lobby, and a variety of meals for strategic planning committees and volunteer lunches.

For more information about the event, to purchase tickets or to learn how you can become involved, visit MCOOA.org or contact Mishalene Wasmer at GivingInStyleMedina@gmail.com.
