A Fresh Perspective

RICKIE DE SOLE BRINGS HER SAVVY EXPERIENCE AND ELEVATED PERSPECTIVE TO NORDSTROM’S NEWLY CREATED ROLE

Bringing a heightened point of view and elevated perspective, Rickie De Sole is Nordstrom’s latest power hire for their newly created role: Women's Designer Fashion & Editorial Director. Nordstrom has always appealed to the modern luxury customer, but they’ve been upping the ante by adding covetable new names in luxury to its offering, supporting CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists, and continuing its Nordstrom Space concept which serves as a satellite retail partner to Dover Street Market Paris.  With previous experience from fashion power houses such as Vogue Magazine, W Magazine, and Prada – De Sole has a unique perspective on modern fashion and knows what speaks to the luxury customer.

Bellevue Lifestyle asked Rickie to share four designers that she loves this fall:

1.    Bottega Veneta – The New, New Bottega! I am very excited for the arrival of Matthew Blazy as creative director at Bottega Veneta. His debut collection hits stores this fall and it’s a brilliant take on twisted minimalism; classic wardrobe staples reinvented for the modern era.

2.    Valentino – No one does color like Pierpaolo Piccoli at Valentino. This fall, it’s all about pink.

3.    Courreges – Playing with experimental shapes and shiny vinyl fabrics,  designer Nicolas de Felice has brought the space age to the modern age at Courreges.  It’s the go to brand for the in the know Paris crowd and we are loving it.

4.    Piferi – This fall, we are thrilled to be launching sustainable footwear brand Piferi at Nordstrom. A former Jimmy Choo alum, the brand founder Alfredo Piferi designs beautiful sculptural heels that are made from 100% vegan leathers.
