A Fresh Take on Fun

With a bar, restaurant, and mini-golf course under one roof, The Dirdie Birdie offers a fun and innovative entertainment experience

Newly opened, The Dirdie Birdie offers something fresh and exciting for residents and visitors in Fort Worth! This innovative entertainment space designed by Vik and Lina Khasat houses a 12-hole mini-golf course, complete cocktail bar, full-service restaurant, private dining room, and lounge areas perfect for relaxing and visiting with friends.

“The Dirdie Birdie is actually a result of us sitting on the couch streaming during COVID,” explains Vik. “Like a lot of other folks, we were stuck at home, missing places we used to go, things we used to do, and experiences we used to have. For us, specifically, it was mini-golf for date nights, fun bars with a lot of character to get a drink at, and restaurants around Austin or other cities where we've lived.”

They began to dream about a place that combined all their favorite things under one roof and The Dirdie Birdie was born. “My favorite part of this whole thing is seeing how people are experiencing the restaurant, bar, and mini-golf all together,” shares Vik. “It's just a fun place where you hear people cheering because they hit a hole in one and people are laughing with each other at the bar. People are smiling and it's just a good vibe.”

The first location of The Dirdie Birdie opened in Austin a few years ago and the concept has been so well received there that the Khasats knew people in Fort Worth would enjoy it as well. “We love Texas and really wanted to build something fun and interesting for the community,” says Vik. “We’ve decided that wherever a Dirdie Birdie is located, it has to feel like it's a part of the city. For Fort Worth, we’ve filled the place with fun Easter eggs and nods to Fort Worth's history and landmarks.”

Inside patrons will find touches inspired by Fort Worth’s famous stockyards, a full saloon façade with swing doors, and different elements that reflect the people and what they love about the area. The mini-golf course even has a hole dedicated to Texas Christian University that includes elements students and alumni alike will be excited to experience.

In addition to being purposeful with the décor, the Khasats intentionally created the bar and restaurant to deliver delicious, high-quality food and drinks. “We did not want the food to be an afterthought,” says Vik. “We’ve put a lot of time into our cocktail program and even more thought into our menu. It is a chef driven menu where we emphasize quality and consistency as well as spotlighting local flavors and dishes.”

With something for everyone, The Dirdie Birdie is great for a fun afternoon with the family, date nights, an evening out with friends or coworkers, and even parties. Although much of the time the space is open to all ages, some hours are set aside for adults only to allow time for relaxing in a kid-free zone.

Vik and Lina are so excited to bring The Dirdie Birdie to Fort Worth and share the fun with new friends. “It's a place where you can come grab a drink, hang out, and enjoy really good food,” says Vik. “It's a fun place and I’m confident that the people of Fort Worth will really enjoy the level of creativity and quality we’ve built into the experience.”
