Originally from New Hampshire, Robin received a B.A. degree in Business Administration and Management at Kentucky State University. She then attended Northern Kentucky University where she earned her Juris Doctorate. Robin is passionate about the law and law enforcement. Her initial dream of becoming an FBI agent was cut short by a knee injury, but she has rallied her years of preparation into several successful careers. Prior to starting Forsythe Law, Robin found her place in courtrooms as a criminal tax fraud investigator for the state of Kentucky and. She also worked as an internal auditor in the banking and finance industry. Her years of experiences managing fraud cases, and analyzing financial data lead her into a very demanding career with Toyota in Texas, where she quickly became a leader in supply chain management and Toyota’s- worldwide annual planning processes. Robin’s success in Texas was further landmarked in the following years as she worked independently and with local firms to assist families and businesses with IRS negotiations, tax strategy, and financial well-being.
After several years of working with families and businesses to solve tax controversies and assist with probate, Robin dreamed of opening her own firm where she could positively impact the community with a set of modern estate-planning services. These services would be specially designed to keep families out of stressful situations with the IRS and probate courts. In October of 2019, this dream became a reality as Forsythe Law began serving all of Texas from their home in McKinney. Robin is married to Cory Forsythe who officially aids the firm as the Director of Sales and Technology, but he says his real job is “doing anything to make Robin’s life easier”. This was especially true during the chaos of 2020, when Robin, Cory, and their daughter Taylor, spent their lockdown days in the office together, accelerating Forsythe Law into the wildly successful firm it became. An experience that brings the entire Forsythe Law family great pride and humility.
Today, the firm offers unique expertise in probate, estate planning, elder law and Medicare planning, and tax resolution. And as owners of two Corgi dogs and a horse, of course, Forsythe Law provides equine and pet trusts to their animal-loving customers. In addition to these services, Robin’s unique experiences allow the firm to advise start-up and early-stage companies with respect to their organizational structures, tax strategy, and legal compliance. Though small, Robin and her expert team continue to design valuable outcomes for their clients, recently winning cases that brought over $4.2 million to her clients.
