When searching for a dentist in Mason, you’ll be hard pressed to find a more experienced practice with more local history than Erbeck Family Dental. The first dental practice in Mason, starting in 1926, Erbeck Family Dental has been part of the community for almost 100 years.

Today, the dentistry is operated by the father-son duo of Doctors Brad and Steven Erbeck. But it was Dr. Clyde Erbeck who started it all.

“At the time, there wasn't another practicing dentist in Mason until his son, Dr. Gail Erbeck, graduated from Ohio State University's College of Dentistry in 1959 and opened the current office at 300 Third Avenue, in downtown Mason,” Dr. Steven Erbeck explains.

As a result, the Erbecks have seen and been a part of the ever changing cultural fabric of Mason for a long time, growing with the community in exciting ways.

“When Clyde Erbeck graduated from Mason High in 1918 there were 18 people in his graduating class. Years later when my father, Brad Erbeck graduated in 1977 there were 160 people. Once I graduated in 2012 there were more than 800 in my graduating class,” Steven tells us.

Additionally, they’ve grown with the ever-evolving dental industry. Although “Grandpa” Clyde Erbeck was mainly known for pulling teeth and denture creation, Erbeck Family Dental now uses state of the art technology to offer patients the most cutting-edge care possible.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to learn the newest technologies and apply them to our practice, improving patient outcomes and providing cutting edge care,”  Steven explains. “Over the years we expanded our scope to provide general dental services. Technological improvements gave us the ability to provide cosmetic procedures such as Invisalign, veneers and teeth whitening.”

So why stay in Mason so long? Ultimately, their reason is simple:

“Being a 5th generation Mason resident, I can say our family really hasn't known anywhere else as home,” says Steven. “I think it's that sense of community and family values that has kept us from considering anywhere else but Mason for our practice. The combination of a fantastic school system, several Fortune 500 companies migrating here and a great community atmosphere seems to be why Mason has been so successful in attracting new families over the years,” he adds.

Though many patients are seeking out large dental groups or corporate dental service organizations nowadays, Steven stresses the specialized value that a family practice can offer, “Over the years, we have dedicated ourselves to creating a dental home for our patients and treating each and every patient like family,” Steven explains. “We truly believe that this patient driven, family-centered approach is what sets us apart from other dental offices.”

Erbeck Family Dental is currently accepting new patients, including children.

“Many parents who have brought their children in for cleanings or dental work have mentioned how pleased they are with how kid friendly our office is,” Steven tells us. “We use many similar approaches of pediatric dental offices including the tell, show, do method, sticker and prize rewards and sibling modeling.”
