A Last Summer Hurrah

Ivory Grille

Located inside the Bothwell Hotel, the Chef offers scrumptious dinner entrees and weekend specials - including a weekend Prime Rib special. Enjoy hand cut steaks, delectable seafood entrees as well as budget friendly pasta and sandwich options. 

Bothwell Hotel 

First opened June 10, 1927 by John H. Bothwell, the classical revival building maintains the classic, luxurious ambiance of it’s time. Along with architectural detail such as crown moldings, gated elevators, telephone booths, gold cornices, marble baseboards & thresholds and an original crystal chandelier. 

Bothwell Lodge

The Bothwell House was built  by wealthy Sedalia lawyer John Homer Bothwell. He built atop a high bluff that looks out over Missouri Valley. The 12,000 sq.ft. home was built on natural caves so that the cool cave air could provide a type of air conditioning.

Katy Trail State Park

Whether you are a bicyclist, walker, equestrian, nature lover, or history buff, the 225 miles of the Katy Trail State Park offer opportunities for recreation, a place to enjoy nature, and an avenue to discover the past. Katy Depot serves as Sedalia’s Visitor Center and a major trailhead for the 240-mile-long Katy Trail State Park.

Missouri State Fair

August 8-18th

Dating back to 1901, the Missouri State Fair is among the state's oldest and most tradition-rich events for summer family fun! It includes daily concerts, exhibits and competitions of animals, homemade crafts, shows, and many food/lemonade stands.
