Chris Bianez is no ordinary hero. Starting his career with the Plano PD in 1997, Bianez spent seven years on patrol. Two years into his career, he transitioned into the D.A.R.E. program, where he passionately educated fifth graders about the dangers of drug use. His enthusiasm for guiding young minds was evident through the love and dedication he instilled throughout the duration of this program, until it was dissolved in 2001 due to budget cuts.
Back on patrol, Chris had a brilliant idea. He conceived a groundbreaking initiative and presented it to the police chief—a martial arts and trampoline road show with a message promoting drug-free and bully-free lifestyles. This creative approach resonated deeply with students, leading to a remarkable achievement: selling out every school assembly for 18 consecutive years, making a lasting impact on countless young lives.
For the past 17 years, Bianez has channeled his expertise into crime prevention, focusing on safety education for both individuals and organizations. His work encompasses vital topics such as active shooter preparedness, identity theft, scam prevention, and college safety. Through his efforts, Bianez has significantly contributed to the safety and well-being of the Plano community.
