It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas across the 3.5-acre Maywald property. From a 17-foot-tall Santa Claus to vintage lawn décor collected from across the country, the Maywald Christmas Light Display is a gem tucked in the neighborhood behind FP Legacy Landscaping off Highway 290 and Shallowford Road.
While admission is free, the Maywalds collect donations to the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Central and South Texas. Each year, 24-year-old Jordan Maywald adds something new for visitors to discover, including a new star for each wish granted. This year, they also added a new 15-foot fiberglass snowman.
“Dripping Springs makes up about 80 percent of our visitors,” said Maywald. Thanks to the community’s generosity, the display has raised nearly $200,000 so far and granted 27 wishes for children.
Located at 10505 Twilight Vista, the display is open through December 28th. Follow Maywald Christmas Light Display on Facebook and Instagram.
