Venturing from Switzerland to Boulder, Roger Reutimann is bringing what he calls his meaningful artwork to the attention of those who can appreciate the aesthete of the cultural value that is conveyed in his work. Living and working in South Beach, Miami's spectacle for 13 years, he has been privy to many classifications of art. His art can be noted as contemporary with his chosen use of unfixed physical reality and unique cultural message(s) behind each piece.

Specializing in figurative abstract artistry, Reutimann is taking what he sees happen politically and socially within the external world and translating these subject matters into three-dimensional, avant-garde sculptures—or as what he calls them: statements. Aiming to create an emotional connection between the viewer and the art itself, Roger utilizes concepts, images and any other identifiers recognizable to today’s populace to divulge his own personal perspective. With sculptures such as Corporatocracy and False Idol, Nature Always Wins and Clockwork Destiny, he is able to portray his deepest mind and bring awareness to global issues that are affecting the human race.

“I am a true believer that you have to be true to yourself,” Roger says. “You should not have to cater to any style or fashion. It is important to know who you are as an artist and to stick with it.” With this mantra in mind, it is clear that Roger adheres to his own advice and has become quite successful by doing so.
