A Mustard Seed of Faith

Who knew that an accidental meeting on Saturday, January 30, 2016 would forever change their lives?  After leaving the mall, Keshia decided to stop by The Mustard Seed BBQ in Fairburn to visit a friend who was employed there. Michael was there with some of his fraternity brothers after participating in a community service event. While there, Keshia engaged in conversation with a former colleague who, unbeknownst to her, was also one of Michael’s fraternity brothers. The conversation went from one between Keshia and her former colleague to one including Michael. “After staying and engaging in a few hours (yes, hours) of conversation Michael and I decided to leave the restaurant, so he walked me to my vehicle, we exchanged contact information, and the rest as they say is history,” said Keshia.  Who knew that one afternoon where neither of them even wanted to stop by would be the best decision ever? During their courtship Michael and Keshia traveled, enjoyed concerts, plays, sporting events (both serious Atlanta Falcon fans), and many family events.

None of these memories will ever be better than the one created on November 29, 2018; not just because it’s Keshia’s birthday but because it’s the day Michael made her the happiest and luckiest woman in the world by asking her to be Mrs. Mosley. He made reservations for at Arnette’s Chop Shop where they had dinner and dessert. The waiter brought out the Baked Alaska and keeping with tradition Keshia blew out the candle and made a wish (She confesses, “I rambled through the dessert thinking maybe there was something hidden, but alas there was nothing there”). Little did she know what the love of her life had up his sleeve. He gave me a card, and as she read it, she thought, "Aww! That's sweet," putting the card aside wondering what he'd gotten her. He gave her another card. This one was sentimental and Keshia was overcome with emotions. It was while reading this card that Michael started saying how much he loved her, and that he was looking forward to creating more memories together forever. As I closed the card, she saw the ring on the table. “I asked if that was what I thought it was, he said ‘yes,’ and asked me to be his wife.  I threw my napkin in the air, started crying, and said, ‘Yes!’ God blessed us both by bringing us together and making my wish come true. All it took was having a mustard seed of faith and a strong belief in love.”
