Opening ahead of schedule as part of the district’s 2023 bond program, the new multipurpose stadium was designed to serve generations of Sherman students while creating an elevated experience for fans. With seating for approximately 8,000 spectators, improved accessibility, expanded concessions, modern restrooms, enhanced security, and a state of the art video board, every detail was planned with both comfort and functionality in mind.
The stadium’s thoughtful design also considers the fan experience, with the home side positioned to provide evening shade during games. More than 1,700 chair back seats offer premium viewing, while spacious concourses and upgraded amenities reflect Sherman’s continued growth and commitment to excellence.
The excitement officially begins on September 18 when the Bearcats host The Colony in the first varsity football game played at the new stadium. Before kickoff, the community will have the opportunity to tour the facility during a planned open house, offering residents a first look inside one of the district’s most anticipated projects.
