Tempe residents now have a dedicated neighborhood dermatology resource with the arrival of Red Mountain Dermatology, a clinic committed to personalized care and real, visible results. The practice opened its Tempe location near McClintock Drive and Warner Road in December 2023 and joins additional offices in Goodyear and Mesa. Red Mountain Dermatology is part of the family-owned Bingham Dermatology Group, established in 2013.
The clinic provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages, treating concerns such as acne, skin cancers, rashes, cysts, and more. Their goal is simple: to be the community’s trusted dermatology home.
At the Tempe office, Physician Assistant Adam Turner leads patient care. Adam says building relationships is a core part of their mission. “We want to be close with the people here… We want to be part of the community.”
Adam has worked in dermatology for six years and says the specialty offers the perfect balance of medical treatment and hands-on procedures. While diagnosing and treating skin conditions can be challenging, seeing physical improvements in patients is what drives him.
“When I have a kid who’s struggled with acne for a year and we’re able to clear their skin, you can physically see the difference—and you see them smiling when they weren’t before,” Adam says. “Being able to see those results reminds you why you do this. It keeps you motivated.”
Living in the desert adds unique challenges to skin health, and Adam emphasizes the importance of limiting sun exposure. “Barriers are best—hats, clothing, anything that keeps the skin from getting hit by the sun,” he explains. “While the sun can be good, it causes many of the issues we deal with later in life.”
Arizona has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world, including melanoma. Because of this, Adam recommends that adults over 30 schedule yearly skin checks, which can lead to early detection and timely treatment.
