Benjamin and I recently decided to treat ourselves and our furry friends to a staycation at the Meliá Orlando Celebration Hotel. It wasn’t just any weekend getaway—it was during their special dog party weekend, part of their newly launched Pet Friendly by Meliá program. As dog lovers, we couldn’t resist the opportunity to spend some quality time with our pups in a place that truly understands and celebrates our four-legged companions.

From the moment we checked in, we knew this was going to be a special experience. At the front desk, we were greeted warmly and our dogs received their own VIP treatment with a welcome gift that included a dog bowl and treats in the room. This thoughtful gesture set the tone for the rest of our stay.

Our room was a delightful surprise. Not only was it spacious and comfortable, but it also came equipped with cozy dog beds and water bowls. It was clear that Meliá Orlando Celebration had put a lot of thought into making their pet guests feel just as welcome as their human counterparts. After settling in, we took a stroll to the on-property dog park, complete with an agility course.

The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the Dog Party on Saturday afternoon. From 1 to 3 p.m., the outdoor patio at The Wilson was transformed into a doggy paradise. The Ball Pit was a hit, with dogs diving in and having the time of their lives. And for those needing a bit of puppy love, there were puppies needing to be adopted.

One of the unique features of the event was the Dog Menu at The Wilson. Yes, you read that right—there’s a special menu just for dogs! We treated our pups to some gourmet doggy dishes while we enjoyed a delicious lunch. The Wilson, which is located on-site, offers a fantastic selection of food for both humans and dogs. Later that evening, Benjamin and I decided to indulge in a dinner at The Wilson, sans the dogs. It was nice to have a little alone time while knowing our furry friends were comfortably resting in the room. The food was exceptional, and the ambiance was perfect for a relaxing evening.

The entire weekend was filled with fun, relaxation, and plenty of pampering for both us and our pets. It was clear that the Meliá Orlando Celebration Hotel takes their Pet Friendly by Meliá program seriously, ensuring every detail is tailored to provide an exceptional experience for dog owners and their pets.

Trust us, your pups will thank you!
