Gotcha Covered — clever, isn’t it? The name alone is intriguing, but once you look deeper into what the owner, Jennifer Tama, offers, you’ll be even more intrigued. Personalized window coverings best describe Jen’s business but her process of discovering what her client wants and needs separates her from all the rest.
Jen explains, “Sometimes what my clients want doesn’t match with the problems they are hopeful of solving. If my clients aren’t satisfied with the outcome of their drapes, shade or new style of window coverings, then I’m not happy and haven’t done my job. Because I have the buying power and expertise of a large company with the personalized customer interaction of a small company, I can find that perfect solution to give my clients what they need with the design style they want.”
Jen’s fierce passion for her client’s experience and overall satisfaction is the result of almost 30 years as a geriatric speech-language pathologist. Her training and her work with the geriatric community helped to shape who she is and how she runs her business today.
“Every patient needed a different plan, a different course for improvement,” Jen says. “I had to use all my resources to find the perfect solution.”
Translating this into window coverings was natural for her. Home improvement is familiar and not intimidating as she has taken on remodeling projects at her own home.
“I take care of my customers [from] start to finish for each project — including installations. I strive to get it right the first time and work hard to fix it if it isn’t — just as if it were my own home.”
The process of measuring twice and cutting once is always part of the process, but if for some reason the new treatment does not fit, Jen will make it right. This level of integrity is the compass by which she runs her business. Personalized attention is the mission no matter how long it takes. It begins with getting to know the client, their style, colors, the perfect fabric and ultimate redesign dream.
Jen says, “I’m the one-stop shop window treatment designer. I am there from the beginning to end.”
Jen has been successfully operating her small business since April 2021. She brings the store to her clients instead of maintaining a traditional storefront.
“As a small business, I rely on Google Reviews and word of mouth. Therefore, the experience of my client is my number one priority.”
Compared to other larger retailers, where personal one-on-one experience may be lacking, this is where Jen shines. Each installation is guaranteed by Jen, and she is proud to offer a huge variety of custom window treatments for you to choose from. Instead of simply focusing on one type or style of treatment — such as only hard treatments like shutters or only soft treatments like drapes — she does it all. There’s no limit to the types of custom blinds and shades she provides, which means there’s no limit to the customizable looks you can create.
