Pomegranate & Rose Elixir (For the posh Chrismas party)
Makes about 1 gallon of punch
Ingredients
32 ounces pomegranate juice
12 ounces lemon concentrate
64 ounces sparkling water
1 cup rose petals
20 ounces rosé (omit for non-alcoholic)
1 cup coconut sugar or brown muscovado sugar (optional)
Pomegranate seeds
Method
In a large bowl or pitcher, mix the pomegranate juice with lemon concentrate and 1 cup of sugar (optional), and add rose petals to soak. Let chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight. Just before serving, add in the sparkling water and rosé (ratio may depend on how strong you want it), sprinkle the pomegranate seeds and enjoy!
Cinnamon Orange Hot Cocoa Bliss (for family game night)
Makes about 1/2 gallon of punch
Ingredients
1 cup raw cacao
7 cinnamon sticks
12 ounces orange juice
32 ounces milk of choice
20 ounces water
1 cup honey, coconut sugar or brown muscovado sugar
1 sliced orange
Method
In a large saucepan, bring water to boil, add in the cacao powder and sweetener of choice and stir until well incorporated. Reduce to a simmer and add in the milk, orange juice and cinnamon. Stir for at least 5-10 minutes, and let cool down before serving. For a cold version, transfer into a large pitcher or bowl, add sliced oranges and let chill overnight!
Sea Buckthorn and Anise Glow (for weekend friends get-together)
Makes about 1 gallon of punch
Ingredients
1/3 cup sea buckthorn confiture (or juice concentrate if you're lucky to find it)
32 ounces water
12 ounces lime concentrate
1 tablespoon sliced ginger
64 ounces sparkling water
20 ounces rum (omit for non-alcoholic)
1 cup coconut sugar or brown muscovado sugar (optional)
1/4 cup star anise (about 7-8 stars)
1 sliced lemon
1 sliced lime
Method
In a large bowl or pitcher, mix the sea buckthorn, water, ginger, sugar, star anise and lime juice. Stir well. Let chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight. Just before serving, add in the sparkling water and rum (ratio may depend on how strong you want it), add in the fruit slices and enjoy!
