As Woodstock enters the 18th season of its beloved Farm Fresh Market, the weekly gathering continues to define the rhythm of small-town charm, local flavor, and mindful living.
This year, Spring in Woodstock officially arrives on April 18, 2026, when the Woodstock Farm Fresh Market opens for the season in the heart of Downtown. Spanning Market Street, Elm Street, and Reformation Brewery’s Backyard, the market will welcome residents and visitors every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon continuing through December 19.
Now in its 18th season, the market has grown into far more than a place to shop, it’s a Saturday ritual. Early mornings bring the aroma of fresh bread and pastries, the hum of conversation between farmers and shoppers, and tables brimming with locally grown produce, jams and jellies, raw honey, pasture-raised meats, seafood sourced from the Georgia coast, bath and beauty products, and artisan goods made close to home.
What sets the Woodstock Farm Fresh Market apart is its commitment to authenticity and quality. Vendors are required to grow or produce at least 85 percent of the items they bring to market, a standard that ensures shoppers are purchasing truly local goods. To maintain that integrity, vendors are subject to inspections throughout the season.
“The goal has always been to create a market people can trust,” says Kyle Bennett, Tourism Manager for the City of Woodstock, who oversees market operations. “It’s about supporting local growers while giving the community access to fresh, responsibly sourced products.”
At its core, the Woodstock Farm Fresh Market is commissioned to strengthen connections between growers and consumers, food and education, and community and lifestyle. In addition to shopping, the market offers presentations and demonstrations throughout the season focused on agriculture, gardening, food safety, and preparation, making it both a learning experience and a gathering place.
For longtime residents, the market is a familiar favorite. For newcomers, it’s often one of the first places they feel at home. Children wander with fresh flowers in hand, neighbors catch up over coffee, and visitors discover why Woodstock continues to rank among Georgia’s most livable and affordable communities.
