A Snapshot of SXSW 2023 Panels, Premieres & Performances.

SXSW can't be summarized in 8 photos, but here are some highlights

South by Southwest energized the city with panels, premieres and performances. Two films, “Joy Ride” and “AIR” closed the festival on a high note and bring promise that a SXSW premiere could follow in the footsteps of “Everything Everywhere All at Once” (which premiered at SXSW in 2022) and be darlings of next year’s awards season. 

1. AIR, directed by Ben Affleck and starring Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Jason Bateman, Viola Davis and more closed out this year’s SXSW. The Amazon Studios film delves into the game-changing partnership between Michael Jordan and Nike’s that changed.

2. “White Lotus” star Lukas Gage and Zachary Quinto at Cinema Center’s after party for their film “Down Low” at Higbies

3. Katie Couric and Austin’s Amy Jo Martin after their respective panels at SHE Media’s Co-Lab

4. Hesta Prynn at the SHOWTIME interactive experience Camp Yellowjackets held at Fair Market

5. Prime Video Presents the Mayor of Austin with the key to “Prime, Texas.”

6. Reggie Watts took the stage at the Have A Good Trip comedy show at Esther Follies. 

7. Austin’s favorite energy drink helps keep festival attendees going with their coolers at the pop-up C4 Smart House – where we spotted Lil Yachty!

8. Former White House Press Secretary and current MSNBC host Jen Psaki interviewed comedian Chelsea Handler on the first day of the festival.
