1) Theme & Textile
The first step to styling a table is to pick your theme and put down the first layer. Known for its earthy color palettes and rustic accents, the Southwestern style gives a beautiful homage to the charm of the “wild” American West. Traci Miller, owner of Terramania, says, “I’ve used everything from cowhides to blankets, – but I love having a textile on the table, and I chose rabbit pellets."
2) Pick Your Dishes
Feathers neatly tucked in with her golden silverware pays tribute to her Southwestern theme, contrasting well with the muted green glasses and moody black plates.
3) Create Your Centerpiece
Where most people choose vases or several little things around the table, Traci Miller loves the texture of the paper mâché bowl along with the stunning arrangement spilling out of it. “We popped in a few candlesticks just to add some ambiance."
4) Favor & Food
Southwestern-themed watercolor paintings as her favor atop the rusty orange napkins with food served to match. Earthy, moodier foods go along with the tablescape: tomatillos, chili-lime covered mango pieces and cut up figs.
