A Tale of Two Shows

The White Rabbit Theater brings dual magic to Reno

This spring, the White Rabbit Theater and Lounge emerged as a fresh beacon of wonder. Nestled within the Grand Sierra Resort, this 300-seat venue that once served as the downstairs movie theater, offers not one, but two distinct magic experiences, captivating audiences of all ages.

A Magical Duo's New Chapter

Kaileigh and Chase Hasty, internationally acclaimed husband-and-wife illusionists have performed in over 57 countries. Their journey, which began six years ago on May 3 (coincidentally White Rabbit Theater’s grand opening date) during a levitation rehearsal on the island of Guam, has now found a home in Reno.

"Having our own theater to call home gives us the ability to really bring our vision to life and constantly build on making our show bigger and better," says Kaileigh. "As an added bonus, we have come to absolutely love Reno’s charm and beauty, and we feel incredibly supported by the community of people we have met since moving here.

Two Shows, One Enchanting Venue

The White Rabbit Theater presents two unique performances: "That’s Magic!" and "Nocturnal."

"That’s Magic!" is a family-friendly show that runs nightly at 7 p.m. It combines grand illusions, interactive segments, and a cast of featured dancers, ensuring entertainment for all audiences in an intimate venue.

For those seeking a more mature experience, "Nocturnal" takes the stage at 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. This 18+ show features world-class illusions, beautiful dancers, adult humor, and plenty of surprises. "Lose your inhibitions as you step into the magical world of 'Nocturnal'," invites the theater's event description.

While there is some overlap between the two shows, the Hastys aim to make them entirely distinct experiences.

"We feel so lucky that we can create magic for everyone, whether it’s a family outing with the kids, date night, or just a whimsical night out with friends, we are here for you!" says Chase.

Crafting Magic Behind the Scenes

The theater itself is a testament to the duo's dedication. Designed with all the bells and whistles, the intimate setting allows audiences to get a close-up look at large stunts and magic. Remarkably, despite having a seven-person backstage crew, Chase cues everything live onstage from his pocket, without anyone seeing—a feat he considers one of his most impressive magic tricks.

A Warm Welcome in Reno

Since its opening, the White Rabbit Theater has received an overwhelmingly positive response from both locals and visitors. The beautiful space features a beautiful and opulent full bar with themed drinks and close-up magic. As you sip your Smoke and Mirrors whiskey drink, or your Houdini Martini, you can also enjoy elevated appetizers. And for those who want to munch on something as they’re dazzled during the show … popcorn, hot pretzels, candy, and more are available from the concession stand just outside the theater doors.

As Reno continues to evolve as a hub for diverse entertainment, the White Rabbit Theater stands out by offering dual experiences that cater to a broad audience. Whether you're seeking a magical evening with family or an adventurous night out, the White Rabbit invites you to step into a world where wonder awaits. And you may even see someone pull a rabbit out of their hat.
