This year’s winner in the alcoholic beverage category is Madrid Spanish Taverna with their drink, Flor De Espana. The winner in the non-alcoholic drink category is Pop’s Coffee Company with their Orange Creamcycle Latte.
This year, the event ran from June 13 – August 15 with 61 participating locations, so the competition was steep. Restaurants, coffee shops, breweries and tasting rooms all created a new specialty drink for Summer Sippin’. After the start of the competition, participating locations promoted their Summer Sippin’ drink to customers and encouraged voting.
Abe Ruiz, co-owner of Madrid Spanish Taverna, commented, “Flor De Espana was born out of the spirit of Spain...spicy, red, flowery, and outright delicious. We knew immediately when our staff tasted it, that it was a WINNER! Swani Gonzales, co-owner of Madrid Spanish Taverna, added, “Once again being part of the Summer Sippin’ event was great! You have the Roswell restaurants coming together for something fun and giving the community an opportunity to engage with each restaurant and share memories. It really is wonderful to see that unity. It's Roswell!”

We are honored to be the 2023 1st place winner! Our drink, the Orange Creamcycle Latte was created by Aaron McDonald. It was meant to remind us of our childhood and a favorite summer treat. Special thanks to the Pop’s team for promoting our drink and wheeling it in first across the finish line!”
Patrons rated each sip they tried on SummerSippin.com or on the Summer Sippin’ app. The ratings have been tallied and the winners in each category have been chosen.
