A Well-Dressed Table

Get ready for the holiday season with tablescape ideas and inspiration from Interiors Plus.

With the holiday season fast approaching, it’s time to think about adorning your dining area for family meals and special occasions. We worked with interior designer Helen Wright of Mason’s Interiors Plus to provide a vision for your holiday tablescapes this year. Helen recommends looking for opportunities to change out just a few items to take your table decor from Thanksgiving into the winter holidays more seamlessly. Fall candles, table runners or chargers and decorative items can easily be swapped for more wintery colors or textures. Also, consider leaving bright harvest colors in October and opt for more modern neutrals that can work beyond Thanksgiving.

Lastly, don’t forget your buffet table—it offers additional space for decorating that won’t interfere with your guests’ view or place settings at mealtime. All items pictured here are available through Interiors Plus. Helen’s team is always happy to suggest the perfect elements to complement your space or occasion. Tips for Your Holiday Dining Area

Centerpieces

Keep centerpieces on your table low so guests can easily chat and pass food at the table. Also, try starting with a neutral base, such as greens and whites, that can have elements added or subtracted to add a pop of color or fit a seasonal theme. All Interiors Plus arrangements are custom and can be tailored to your dining room or holiday decor.

Furniture

Setting up the buffet or console at the head of the table allows you to create a striking display with height that can easily be changed out for the seasons.

Decorative Accents

When choosing decor items, think warm tones, cozy textures like velvet and plaid patterns for fall. Winter holidays demand sparkle with icy metallics and pops of white. Incorporate a variety of gourds for Thanksgiving and delicate deer and modern tree shapes for winter holidays. Repurposed ornaments are perfect for rounding out the look.
