Thirty miles north of the city of Atlanta lies a relatively new planned community that has been dubbed one of the best places to live in Georgia. Peachtree Corners is a 17 square mile suburb in Gwinnett County that is home to around 42,000 residents.

With the famous Chattahoochee River on the western border, Peachtree Corners is also bordered by the towns of Dunwoody, Doraville, Sandy Springs, Norcross, Roswell, John's CreekBerkeley Lake, and Duluth. Families, millennials, and professionals all make their home here.

It's ideally located near highways I-85, I-285, and GA 400; it's a quick 21 miles to downtown Atlanta or an excursion to peach orchards in the Georgia countryside.

Peachtree Corners is an innovative community where residents can work, live, and play all within its borders. It is business-friendly, family-friendly, and attractive for younger professionals all at the same time.

A Newer City

Before 1818, this land was Creek and Cherokee Indian territory. In the 1800s, Pinckneyville was a stopover for those headed south. Some settlers stayed and discovered its rich farmland and water resources from the Chattahoochee River. Soon a tavern, inn, church, and post office were built. The area was known as Pinckneyville and largely stayed a farming community until the 1960s.

At that time, businessman Paul Duke saw the area and envisioned a city. He started a campus for high tech industries and was soon attracting engineers from Georgia Universities. By the 1970s, neighborhoods were being developed, including the North Manor, Peachtree Station, Revington, Lynnfield, Riverfield, and Amberfield. Soon families and tech companies were moving to the area.

On July 1st, 2012, Peachtree Corners was officially incorporated, and the area has continued to grow with new construction happening all the time.
