Modern farmhouses combine sleek contemporary design with the coziness expected of a farmhouse. This popular home design style takes a fresh approach to country living and is known for its warmth and simplicity. Typically, modern farmhouses are white with black trim and integrate natural textures like wood with a metal roof.

Many homeowners choose farmhouse home designs because they are homey and feel lived in and approachable.

Artisan Built Communities announces the opening of a new phase in the NorthFarm section of NatureWalk at Seven Hills, a Paulding County community that brings big-city amenities to the suburbs. The 11 farmhouse-style homes in the new phase will be priced from the low $300,000s.

“This new phase at NorthFarm allows us to offer more homes without basements, which proved to be a fast seller in our initial phase,” said Stephen Haines, President of Artisan Built Communities. “Our NorthFarm families tell us they love living in a modern home with the most up-to-date designs while still enjoying that classic farmhouse vibe.”

Artisan builds its farmhouse-style homes in NorthFarm, offering five distinct styles that range from 1,936 to 3,464 square feet with up to six bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms. Home designs include ranch or two-story homes with two-car garages. Plans offer options for a first-floor owner’s suite or private guest suite, a formal dining room, and even a dedicated computer area. Popular flexible options allow homeowners to expand to a third floor or three-car garage and to create home offices, study spaces, media rooms and more according to their needs.

Homebuyer choice is standard in NorthFarm. With the popular Alston home design, homebuyers can choose to expand from the basic four-bedroom option up to six bedrooms, depending on whether they prefer a media room or whether they want to expand to a third floor. Starting at $316,900, the Alston also includes a main-level bedroom with a bath; an expansive owner’s suite with a sitting area and oversized walk-in closet; and two upstairs bedrooms connected by a Jack and Jill bath. If homebuyers select the third-floor option, they add an additional bedroom and bath plus a flexible loft area.

All homes in NorthFarm include granite countertops, Samsung stainless steel appliances, and great room fireplaces that you can light with the touch of a button. Spa-like owners’ baths, open floorplans, and modern kitchens with islands contribute to the luxury and livability in every home. Homebuyers can choose to extend the living space outside with optional covered patios and outdoor fireplaces.

Residents of NorthFarm enjoy access to the resort-style amenities throughout Seven Hills, including expansive green spaces; a dog park; miles of trails for hiking or biking; and a 13-acre theme park-style water park. The classic clubhouse contains a wellness center and is flanked by a large children’s playground as well as tennis, basketball and volleyball courts.
